We strongly believe that the digital transformation that many industries have been going through already is going to dramatically change the hospitality industry. Today, customers aren't connecting with food and drinks menu on paper, as they are used to smartphones, TVs and iPads. To capture the attention of customers, restaurants need to present their products on digital supports that have to be interactive and entertaining. They also need to better interact with their customers through technology to understand their expectations and being able to respond to them when they leave the restaurant.

  • Interactive, digital supports : iPads, smartphones, widget for internet sites and televisions

Who are we ?

COENA is based in Tournefeuille, near Toulouse, France. Since 2018, we’ve built the wine list for the floor and for the cellar — on iPad, for fine-dining restaurants and hotels.

The Generation That Killed Wine? Or the One We Never Learned to Serve

The statistic keeps circulating: people under 35 drink less wine, care less about it, buy less of it. The conclusion we draw, almost reflexively, is always the same. It’s the young people’s fault. It’s a comfortable explanation. It spares everyone else the trouble of looking in the mirror. The Wrong Trial Blaming a generation for […]

Cellar software or wine list? What COENA and Vinify actually solve

A fair comparison of two tools that look alike on a feature list and behave nothing alike on the floor. Every few months a sommelier tells us the same thing: “I’ve been looking at two or three of these, and honestly they all seem to do the same stuff.” It’s a reasonable thing to say. […]

Grands Formats: Large-Format Bottles, Done Right

A magnum on the list is a statement. A jeroboam on the table is an event. Cellars built around prestige cuvées and vertical collections don’t stop at 75cl — and now, neither does COENA. Every large format, properly presented Most digital wine lists treat volume as an afterthought: a glass, a half-bottle, a bottle. Anything […]
