A magnum on the list is a statement. A jeroboam on the table is an event. Cellars built around prestige cuvées and vertical collections don’t stop at 75cl — and now, neither does COENA.
Every large format, properly presented
Most digital wine lists treat volume as an afterthought: a glass, a half-bottle, a bottle. Anything bigger gets crammed into a footnote or a phone call to the sommelier. That’s not how a serious cellar works, and it’s not how COENA works either.
With Grands Formats, any bottle beyond 300cl — 500cl, 600cl, 1500cl, whatever the cellar holds — takes its rightful place on the list, clearly labeled and correctly displayed, in every language your guests read.
How to add one
Entering a large format takes two steps:
- Set the purchase and sales prices in the 300cl fields, as you would for any large bottle on the list.
- Enter the custom volume using the gray button to the left of the field — 500cl, 600cl, 1500cl, whatever the bottle actually holds.
Save, and the wine automatically appears under Grands Formats, with the correct volume shown wherever your guests are browsing — whether they’re viewing the list in three-line, two-line, or single-line format.
Exporting your list to CSV? The custom volume gets its own column — Custom large format — so nothing gets lost between the tablet and your spreadsheet.
Why it matters
Nothing about how your team works the floor has to change. The tablet shows exactly what’s in the cellar, in the exact terms your guests expect — a jeroboam reads like a jeroboam, not an approximation. For houses with serious large-format holdings, that precision is the difference between a wine list that documents the cellar and one that does it justice.
Grands Formats is available now across the COENA platform.
